Wrought iron driveway gates are quite a common sight at homes and private communities. You know that you have arrived at a magnificent place when you are faced with these formidable entryways. I saw custom ornamental wrought iron driveway gates with beautiful wrought iron railings for the very first time when I was a driving into an expensive neighbourhood near my home. My uncle and aunt lived in a gated community that was quite exclusive in Orlando florida and had electric gates for security. We used to visit them in the winter months while we were visiting disney world and enjoyed using the pool and hot tub on their property. I remember riding in the backseat of their car, excited to watch my father press the button to announce that we had arrived at the gated community where they lived. Wrought iron products can be utilized to decorate both inside as well as outside the house.
Back then, the whole process was a source of wonder for me. I actually thought that the wrought iron driveway gates knew that we had arrived and they were politely waiting for my father to finish talking with my relatives before opening. I’m not sure how long I pictured the entryway like this but I guess it was for quite awhile considering that I still remember the feeling.

You may not need all the special features offered by the high-end designs but who really wants all of that for a regular home anyway? After all, we can always go visiting other properties to experience the great designs that others have created in the past.
Wrought iron driveway gates have come a long way over the past few decades. These entryways actually do know when you drive up to them. It’s funny that my parents now live in another gated community in florida as well now that they are retired. When we visit them, my two sons call the wrought iron driveway gates “magic doors to grandma and grandpa's house”. Of course my wife and I helped them along the way.
